KEVIN GEOGHEGAN For Councilman-at-Large 

Kevin Geoghegan comes from a background of public service and leadership to Toms River. Born and raised in Toms River, he graduated Toms River High School North. After High School, Kevin attended Ocean County College and later on attended Seton Hall University where he obtained his Masters Degree.


Kevin retired as a police sergeant in 2011 from the Toms River Police Department after serving 26 years to his community. Kevin’s desire to serve the community was instilled in him at a young age by his parents. Kevin joined the Silverton First Aid Squad at age 16 as a junior member and currently serves as the business administrator; 38 years later. Kevin’s father “Jerry” was a Charter member of this fine organization in 1964, Kevin serves as its leader today. Kevin is also a member of the Silverton Fire Company for the past 32 years serving in many positions and remains an active volunteer today serving as the Assistant Chief.


Kevin has also been a NJ State certified Paramedic for 34 years working part time and still works today per diem for Virtua Health. Kevin was a previous owner of several 7-11 franchises in the past giving him a strong managerial background and first hand knowledge with those small business concerns. Kevin was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Toms River Township Council in January 2016 through December 2017.


While his service, loyalty and commitment to Toms River is second to none he comes with the vision of Toms River in the past and in the future.
