Josh Kopp For Councilman-at-Large
Josh Kopp comes with a background in business and service to his community. Born and raised in Toms River, he attended St Joseph’s Grade School and Monsignor Donovan High School, now known as Donovan Catholic.
Throughout his high school years Josh started working at his family’s company, Kopp Electric Company, which has been located in Toms River going on 25 years. Upon graduating high school, Josh attended Ocean County College, later transferring to Rutgers University, all while keeping up with his work in the business. He currently holds the role as company director for his family company which has been ranked for multiple years as a top solar and electrical contractor.
Josh’s desire to serve the people was strengthened in 2013 when he joined the United States Army NJ National Guard. He became an Infantryman and was selected for the Reconnaissance Platoon for the 114th Infantry Regiment. He was assigned the position as a Sniper Team member in 2015 and holds the rank of Sergeant.
Josh also currently serves the public as an Emergency Medical Technician with Silverton First Aid while going to Rowan College of Burlington for Paramedic Sciences to become a mobile intensive care paramedic to help further his capabilities to serve.
When asked “What is the single most important thing in your life?” his response; “family”. He continues to reside in the Silverton section of Toms River with his wife, Hillary. The two were married in 2016 after being together since high school. They recently welcomed their first daughter, Norah, this past August.
While his service, loyalty, commitment to his community is undeniable, he comes with a fresh vision and new ideas for Toms River.
